summer time.

I visited Barcelona recently, 4 nights is not nearly enough to take it all in. I could have spent a week on the beach (and I'm not a "beach" person). I've been before, for 2 weeks, and even then I couldn't take it all in. There was more to see other than the art and architecture. I love graffiti, and I looked for pattern and repeats in buildings that I can maybe use to inspire me if I get on this short screen printing course (so I can refresh my memory, as I've not done it since uni due to not having facilities etc.) Unfortunately lack of time and money meant we were unable to take in as much as we should have, and the fact we had a lazy hung over sunday spent on the beach!!

There was alot of inspiration to be taken, I love Graffiti, so I was snapping up as much as I could with the camera, and there was a lovely wee tattoo parlour around the corner from our apartment called "medusa" and it was really nice and traditional, lots of dios des muertes style tattoos, and it sold wee accessories and such, plus they had an adorable pet boston terrier which I wanted to steal. There was also some really nice shop window displays that I loved. Hopefully this can push me to take inspiration and colour from it!

I am thinking up of a new name for my etsy store.

i've been so uncreative because I don't know what to name it. it sounds stupid, but i need a brand name.

oh this not so big adult life

So my last blog, yes I am bad, was about starting a new job, which I got greatly taken advantage of. I worked my butt off and got treated like crap. Even though the manager wanted to promote me, it was out of her hands.
Anyway, yet another job, which I start on the 6th July in my fave department store in Glasgow, for cosmetics company.
This is a stop gap, I want to find out about tutoring at college level. In the mean time I am joining the Glasgow Print Studio to be my creative outlet.
I got the sewing machine fixed, but to my frustration the feed dog broke the other day, mid way through fixing someones curtains and making a quirky apron. I cant afford to get it fixed by the dealer I bought it from in Edinburgh, much to my frustration I had a 2 year warranty yet they charge me a fortune. So if anyone knows a sewing machine repair place in Glasgow....let me know!

I really miss being creative, this full time work zaps it out of me. I need to take baby steps, but I also need to clear my mind of the chaos, like getting my driving license, finishing my room, going to barcelona and boys lurking around in the deepest darkest corners of my mind. one day, just hope i get the cash to join the print studio because i have ideas for t shirts and stuff.

I've got a very sore foot at the moment, its all the heels. and i think i will miss miss the jeff koons exhibition in london. 2 minus?
This morning i did get cheered up in my tired state, i ordered some stuffz off the rob ryan etsy site and it was 2 cute tiles and they arrived with a card, calendar and some buttons. Although the bad mood resurfaced when i got to work :(

anyhow, i bid you adieu x
